OKMT Summer Concert
What a wonderful summer concert we had on Saturday 9th July 2022 in the beautiful auditorium at St Paul’s School, Barnes. Our young musicians from OK Music School, OK Youth Choir and OK Ukulele Group gave inspiring performances and all enjoyed themselves hugely. A new innovation was a rousing performance from Philip Wells and the Interactive Poetry Group.
There were many highlights, but the finale from the OK Music School Band of a film music medley, with accompanying images, had us all cheering. A parent told us:
“In the concert, our son played “Bohemian Rhapsody” and showed how deeply music is in his heart. Music for him is a way to relax and to learn how to express his feelings”
Some of our funders also attended and one told us:
“We left deeply moved and inspired by the incredible children, the dedicated team and the committed parents all coming together for this special occasion. We had a wonderful time!”
We would like to give a huge thank you to all our music therapists and teachers – Edison, Carmem, Sophie, Chrissy, Elaine, Jack, Gary, Jo, Sara, Rachel and Tara – to St Paul’s School, everyone who helped on the day, and to all our funders and supporters.
