OKMT SUMMER CONCERT

OKMT’s Music School students and OK Youth Choir put on a magnificent summer concert on 8th July at St Paul’s School with 45 students performing a mix of individual, choral and ensemble pieces, and with the OK Music School Band closing the concert with a rousing performance of Aquarela do Brazil. Congratulations to our students, who all showcased their talent and their sheer joy and pride. It was lovely to be joined by her Worship the Mayor of LBRuT, Councillor Suzette Nicholson, who presented Certificates to pupils who had recently passed music exams.

Many thanks to everyone who made the concert possible, especially St Paul’s School, for the use of their wonderful concert hall and to our amazing therapists and teachers for working so tirelessly with our students to help them shine; and to our operations team and volunteers for organising the day so everything went seamlessly.

Thank you also to our compère Jeremy, to our fabulous trustees, and to our patron, Councillor Nancy Baldwin, for all helping make the concert such a brilliant event. Finally, we are very grateful to Tamra for her photography and Dan for his filming. Thank you also to all of the local businesses who kindly gave us raffle prizes.
