A Fabulous Night at the OKMT Christmas Concert in December
On Saturday 10th December we held our annual Christmas concert at the Normansfield Theatre to a sell-out crowd.
It was a wonderful show with over 30 Music School pupils performing on keyboard, piano, marimba, guitar, flute, saxophone or violin. There was beautiful singing from three of the pupils and from the GoLocal Community Choir and OKMT Parents Choir.
The evening finished with a rousing performance of Ravel’s Bolero from the Music School ‘mini orchestra’ accompanied by staff, volunteers and family members.
Thank you to our Music Director, Edison Carolino, and everyone who helped, especially Mercedes Bianchin, who single handedly organised all of the raffle prizes, and to all those who came along to enjoy the evening.
Before the concert, we had a surprise visit from Victoria and Cruz Beckham! In case you haven’t heard, Cruz Beckham has recently released his debut single ‘If Everyday Was Christmas’ and proceeds from the single go to Global’s Make Some Noise who are currently supporting Music School.
Our students were thrilled to meet Cruz and Victoria and loved telling them all about the concert that evening. Check out Cruz Beckham’s music video on YouTube and you might see some familiar OKMT faces at the end : https://youtu.be/lnQXO342N7w
