DONATE TO OUR BIG GIVE CAMPAIGN
YOUR AMAZING SUPPORT MEANS WE HAVE EXCEEDED OUR TARGET AMOUNT, SO DONATIONS WILL NO LONGER BE MATCHED, BUT ANY FURTHER DONATION WILL STILL GO TOWARDS OK MUSIC SCHOOL AND MAKE A DIRECT IMPACT ON OUR WORK.
So please help more excluded young people with a disability to find their talent and gain confidence and pride through music. A has Williams Syndrome and limited verbal communication but plays piano beautifully. “OK Music School gives her opportunities that she wouldn’t otherwise have to be in the community and participate in concerts, and build important relationships that foster good mental well-being” .
You can donate here until 12 noon on 24th March 2026 https://bit.ly/BigGiveOKMusicSchool
All funds raised will go towards OK Music School which is teaching 80 children and young people with disabilities to play a musical instrument or sing and perform in public concerts. Children and young people with disabilities are often excluded from mainstream activities, including music, despite many responding postitively to it, which can lead to isolation, stigma and low self-esteem.
At OK Music School pupils receive 1-1 music lessons with music therapists or specialist teachers, enabling them to learn to play an instrument and express themselves through music. Pupils perfrom in 4 annual concerts, increasing representation in the community. They gain communication and socialisation skills along with confidence and pride and make friends. 28 pupils have passed music exams and several aspire to a career in music.
“Music has allowed him to express himself and boosted his confidence. He feels like he fits in now.”
“When I play the guitar, I forget all my troubles”
So please, if you can, donate up to 12 noon on Tuesday 24th March to Make a Difference
