OKMT was honoured to be part of the first local charity ‘Dragons’ Den’ event, organised by OneRichmond.

Along with 5 other charities, we pitched to 4 ‘Dragons’ – local business leaders and philanthropists. The evening demonstrated the incredible work local charities are doing in Richmond to support those most in need.

We explained the difference that OK Music School is making to children and young people with disabilities giving them a voice, pride, confidence, friendships and a community. But Rosie singing ‘Somewhere Over the Rainbow’ stole the show and brought many to tears. A huge thank you to her and Edison.

We were delighted to receive funding from all 4 Dragons – Lord Lee of Trafford, Sylvia Parsonage, Founder of Parsonage & Co Solicitors,  Will Le Fleming, Founding Master of Thomas’s College, and Chanade Ramsay, regional Social Values Lead at Kier Group, who sponsored the event.
