Free Ukulele Lessons
FREE online ukulele lessons for children and young people with disabilities and their siblings for 6 weeks over summer from 28th July until 1st September.
Classes are for those under 18 and will be held twice a week in 2 groups on Tuesdays AND Thursdays at 9.30 am or 10.15 am and will be led by Tara Maysey from the London Ukulele Project. Tara has been teaching ukulele for 8 years and devised her own method for teaching groups online.
Group 1 at 9.30 am will be conducted at a slower pace for children who have limited musical experience and might take slightly longer to learn and Group 2 at 10.15 am for those with slightly more musical experience.
Ukuleles will be provided free of charge and we will arrange a time for collection.
Ukuleles can be played by everyone strumming or learning simple chords and the lessons will be suitable for all needs. Children will learn to play and sing along to their favourite songs and at the end of the project we will record everyone singing and playing together.
Please contact Cheryl Valland at email@example.com to book a place.
Many thanks to BBC Children in Need for funding this project!
