OKMT 25th Anniversary Concert June 2016
A wonderful concert to celebrate 25 years of the Otakar Kraus Music Trust was held at St John’s Smith Square, on 18th June 2016.
We are incredibly grateful to the Paradisal Players, their conductor Samuel Burstin, violist with the Philharmonia Orchestra, and his wife, renowned pianist Ana Šinkovec Burstin. Their programme included works by Mozart, Rachmaninoff and Dvořák and delighted the capacity audience. They all offered their time free of charge, performing magnificently, with Ana’s solos being absolutely breathtaking.
Matthew Best, who had an international career singing in the major opera houses, and has been a Patron of the Trust from the beginning, gave a fascinating insight into being taught by Otakar Kraus and the founding of the Trust in his memory.
A huge thank you to the audience who gave over £4,000 in donations towards our 25th Anniversary Appeal. You can continue to donate here:
