For over 27 years the Otakar Kraus Music Trust, based in Twickenham, has provided music therapy for thousands of children, young people and adults who have physical, neurological, learning, emotional or behavioural difficulties in order to improve the quality of their lives. Our work is in constant demand in the community and as well as individual music therapy, we run music projects for children with additional needs, young people with mental health problems, adults with a learning disability and elderly people with dementia. Our OK Music School to teach children and young people with disabilities to play an instrument and perform in public has been a huge success, helping over 50 students.
We are looking for Trustees to join our Board, which is responsible for the overall management of OKMT. Attend bi-monthly meetings and work with a dedicated team to ensure that OKMT is efficiently run and continues to offer the most needed and beneficial services for our families.
No experience is necessary but an interest in charity administration, community fundraising or marketing would be an asset – enthusiasm to help us achieve our aims is the most important quality.
This is a real opportunity to make new contacts, use and develop your skills and experience, and make a difference to hundreds of families.
Please see our website www.okmtrust.co.uk for more info about the Trust
The Trustee role is a voluntary role, though expenses are met. Please call Clare Lawrence on 07435 062212 or email info@okmtrust.co.uk if you would like to find out more about being a Trustee of OKMT.
